Opera Plus! is an all-volunteer and locally operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies not only on the support of businesses and corporate donors, but most especially on individuals who want to help add variety and enrichment to the cultural resources of our growing region.

Mission

Opera Plus! brings high quality opera experiences to audiences in our region in a variety of ways, including public school outreach, adult education, free public performances, concerts, and an annual fully-staged opera.

Opera for Everyone!
Education...Performance...Production

Education: Opera Plus! is actively involved in bringing arts education into the classroom and providing enrichment programs for students of all ages.

• Opera-tunities! takes opera to the classroom for nearly 1,000 third-graders every year.

• Opera Matters! provides workshops and classroom materials to secondary and post-secondary teachers in our region.

• Opera Studies! Provides low cost and free lectures for adults who are both opera novices and long time opera enthusiasts.

Performance:

• Free concerts in the Coeur d’Alene Resort Plaza Courtyard and Coeur d’Alene City Park.

• Special events and performances open to the public.  

Production:

• Opera Plus! produces an annual fully-staged opera with professional singers and orchestra.
