Le Nozze di Figaro
(The Marriage of Figaro)
September 30th & October 1st 2006

Continuing the year long celebration of the 250th anniversary of Mozart's
birth, his romantic comedy, "Le Nozze di Figaro" (The Marriage of Figaro)
was presented in Schuler Auditorium on the North Idaho College campus in
Coeur d'Alene on Saturday, September 30 (7:00 pm) and on Sunday afternoon,
October 1 (2:00 pm).
The cast of young singers was from throughout the United States included
Anne McKee Reed, Todd Robinson, Carolyn Kahl, Steven Mortier, Mathew
Trevino, Ted Schmitz, Christina Kowalski, Elizabeth Madsen, Julie Powell,
and Max Mendez. Costumes were by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Seattle
Opera. Orchestral accompaniment was provided by the Coeur d'Alene
Chamber Orchestra. Director was Brenda Nuckton, set designer and builder was
Justin van Eaton, chorus master was Max Mendez, super titles were by Anne Manzo and executive producer
was Mark Faulkner.
Audiences were invited to enjoy a free lecture by Fred Glienna about
Mozart and "The Marriage of Figaro" an hour prior to each curtain.
