This beautiful Puccini opera, containing some of the loveliest romantic music ever written, was presented in Schuler Auditorium on the North Idaho College (NIC) Campus on Saturday, September 29th (7:30 pm) and on Sunday afternoon September 30th (2:00 pm).

Orchestral accompaniment was provided by the Coeur d'Alene Chamber Orchestra conducted by David Demand. Director was Todd Robinson.

Audiences were invited to enjoy a free lecture by Fred Glienna about Puccini and "Madam Butterfly" an hour prior to each curtain.

Act 1 - Two of the geisha attending Butterfly as she enters for her wedding to Pinkerton.	Madam Butterfly (Christina Major) makes her entrance with her geisha attendants to meet Pinkerton for their wedding.	Act 1 - The Bonze, surrounded by Butterfly's family members, condeming and ostracising Butterfly for marrying the American Pinkerton.

Pinkerton who is returning after three years. In the background, Suzuki (Blythe Gaissert) opens up the house for the day.
	Lt. Pinkerton (Todd Geer) arrives with Kate Pinkerton, his new American wife(Kimberly Monzon), to claim his child.
